From Hungary to Melbourne to Toronto

The life of a traveller sometimes seems idyllic, and at other times you wouldn’t swap with them for all the money in the world.

For me, travel has its ups and downs, but tomorrow the sun rises, theres always another pair of clothes you can find when your bag goes missing, there’s always a cup of tea waiting, and there’s always – nearly – the photographic proof of the experience so you can laugh about it later.

This month I head to Chicago, Toronto, Miami and a range of other US cities, for some training on social media marketing, lead generation, and some of the simple things you can do to make your online marketing more productive.

A good friend in Malaysia told me recently, over Satays and a Tiger beer, that most small businesses have no real strategy for social media. Their staff all have facebook accounts, but the boss has no clue. And the business isn’t being represented at all.

So I thought I’d jump in and help out. Small business, regular business, get out and tell people what they can do inhouse, without computer geeks or tech-heads, to start their own company facebook pages, to get into instant message and skype calling, to save money and connect everyone closer.

That’s a sample of what we’re talking about in this coming month of seminars.
